I don't know if I've posted this here before or not, but this is a personal fav of mine. Here's our good buddy Ian Yurcisin(say that 5 times fast) and the Korchak twins behind the lense.
For those of you who don't know Ian, let me start off by saying that he works at Pita Pit on the Main street of the infamous college town of IUP. The Indiana University of Pennsylvania, otherwise an acronym for "I'm Usually Partying," is notorious for being just that, one of the most die hard party schools all around. Unfortunately for Ian, tonight is homecoming and he will be working until 3 AM. I have lived in Indiana for a homecoming and... oh poor Ian. With a hint of irony, this video goes out to you buddy.

Alex Gavic Season Edit
I met Alex at the New Year's EVE Big (smedium) air jump in Salt Lake. He had an awesome season, rode tons of pow, and cruised Park City regularly. Check out his shots, and a few of mine, in this edit from James Buehler.
Helping Those In Need
Hey guys I just wanted to share with you some rad info that you might not have known. Zion Snowboards is company out of BC Canada and they have been killing it for years! Just recently, Ryan Paul, one of their main riders won the Hot Dawgs and Handrails contest down in Bear Mtn. So, basically, what I am saying is that Zion Snowboards is on the come up and not only are they really rad and make a solid product, they also like to provide positive attitudes and help out those that are less fortunate than others.
Zion has created a program that they call "POP" (People Of the Planet), in order to help out others who are in desperate need for help. As of now Zion has partnered up with the Ratanak Foundation in order to help fight against and put a stop to the Sex Trafficking that is happening in Cambodia as we speak! So with that said, 10% of Zion sales goes to helping those who are in desperate need of help! Not only is Zion snowboards blowing up in the snowboard world, but they are also making a difference in the World! And if you would like to help support their cause and need your self a new board, please go check out their website and find out how you can make a difference while at the same time shredding up and down the mountain! Click here for the site.. Zion Snowboards

September Turning
September is usually the month I get the snowboard itch and this year I decided to chase the snow up Little Cottonwood Canyon. It took a lot of mountaineering and a couple hours to get to the patch through a creek bed as there was no other way into the canyon. All in all it was an amazing experience and I finally popped my September boarding cherry. Can't wait for winter, and excited to be blogging for WhatCoast.
Fishing
Since the snow is still far away from us, I have been doing some fishing to take up the time. I havn't had much luck in the past couple of days and this could also be because I am not necessarily thee most skilled fisherman out there. Despite, my lack of skills and bad luck, I managed to hook this guy earlier this morning and let me tell ya, it was so sweet!
So here is a pic of the beauty!

Comments of the Day
If haven't seen yet, Cody and I have been posted up on People's Court on Yobeat. You can go and vote for who you think should win and while you do it leave us a wonderful, hateful, funny, and enjoyable comment for us to laugh at and we may just post it up on here... So here are some recent comments that we like..
Film Burns are Officially "Not Cool" Brrrahhhhh |
I thought Sherman Poppen did? I guess not, oh and thanks for the respect fishmonkey |
This actually could be considered truth, and what is Hot Topic Music?? |
It looks like I shouldn't snowboard anymore, thank you "umm" you have opened my eyes. I QUIT! |
Never would of guessed, thanks Jerm. Cody is an Old Fart. |
At least I got one vote, and it wasn't because of the snowboarding. |
Tristan wins by default. HA |
Ian is the man, and yes this is truly high school dramatic BS |
Indian, we agree. Send it to a kid in Africa. |
Well lets not go that far, his back 7's are okay, but not Lago status. JK |
Oh Eddie Willow, You are our Hero! |
I made a twitter. I've actually had it for quite some time but I just started tweeting. If you're down with Twitter, and it's actually pretty interesting, follow me @codylee360

Facebook comment thread about The Art of Flight
A little about Mr. Ben Kohler
Ben actually walked out of That's it That's all the minute he found out there wasn't any rails in it.
Ben doesn't ride on powder days, he goes home.
I can only speculate on what his favorite feature might be, but I'd put a solid guess on a flat box.
Ben doesn't know what magna-traction is, but you hopefully already knew that from above.
Ben is actually pretty damn good at snowboarding, but chooses to live in Rexburg, where there isn't any good snowboarding.
And finally, Ben Kohler's opinion of the Art of Flight, which he hasn't seen yet, or probably ever.

Comments of the Day
Cody and I have been entered into a contest (without our permission) on Yobeat.com. They call it People's Court and basically the public votes for who deserves to win. As of right now Cody is in the lead and this is highly understandable, but what I wanted to share with you is the "Comments" from this here contest. They are quite funny!
I guess I found out what to work on this year |
We like You! |
I am trying to be like JP man, come on! |
We actually do hate each other |
Sorry Jerm |
Jake you are mean, or Corey?? |
Huh? I wonder what camper this was? Oh well can't please them all... |

Yes, not partying gives you a bad image |

Vote or Don't
We be on People's Court. Vote, or Don't. Tristan and I will probably end up recycling the winnings and giving them away to the WSU Snowboard Club for our Video Premiere this November.
THE BUSH
Brandon Hobush is by all means one of my favorites right now in snowboarding and not to mention a good friend! He had an amazing year and his video part shows it in full. Last year he had the ender to our movie "Treats" and this year he has the opener to the new 32 "Ammo" video. My guess is that you will want to download this video after seeing his part. So, with that said, watch and then come Oct. 1st go download and support. Enjoy!

His style has gotten a lot better, and his tricks are insane. So many bangers in this edit that he filmed in only 2 weeks at camp.

Working For The City
Working For The City is Jon Stark's first full length snow flick, if I am not mistaken, and this video is hot fire. WFTC features riders along the names of Blake Rhodes Reid, Kent Leng, Jordan Emerson, Jonas Michilot, Josh Bishop, Austin Leonard, and so many more. And wait did I mention Justin Fronius, The Star of The VIDEO, coming in with the ender. So here is the flick and make sure if you see Stark, out and about, you let him know how much you loved his video. By the way, I also maybe have a shot in the intro. Thanks Stark and Keep Working For The City!!

Windells Park in August
Windells Academy has the only operating park in North America right now. Check out our buddies Brian Jimenez and Jonny Sischo building a fun looking park and ripper Felice Pozzi doing his best Jed Anderson impersonation (It's pretty damn good too).
Superfan
Travis Rice has fly honeys at his doorstep on the daily, but every once in a while he comes across a true super-fan. This is (a possible re-enactment of) one of those encounters.

Fronius is AM
Justin Fronius is now AM on Ashbury. And well deserved.
I was lucky enough to ride with him all summer and the dude is next level. Not to mention he's a really mellow, down to earth guy. Couldn't be more stoked for him

Bryden is a newcomer here at Weber State. I don't know what kind of crazy vitamins he's been eating back in Pennsylvania but he sure had a hard time finding some new shoes at MiloSport the other day.

Austin Norlin
Hahahahaha
Austin is a wild stallion. You never know if he's serious or not, and he won't hesitate to backflip ANY jump but he prefers to do so without pants on...
Turns out he wakeboards too, and he's pretty good at it. If you can make it through the video without laughing I applaud you, and luckily he keeps that helmet on most of the time...

Sean Black LEAK
Think Thank's Ransack Rebellion is now available on iTunes, and to celebrate, they're letting us peep one of my favorite sections of the movie- Sean Black, the arch nemesis of Shaun White. Check out his banger part and go get the movie, you don't want to miss Nick Visconti's game changing part.

Zach Yourd - Kendama Master
Zach is a homie I know from back in PA and has been killing it on his snowboard every year. Every time I go back to PA it seems he is only getting better and better! But I am not here to talk about snowboarding for this post, actually, it's quite random. Zach is a Kendama Pro ! For those of you who don't know what Kendama is, then you are just simply missing out. So to fill all of you in, here is a video of Zach messing around with his Kendamas!

Stevie Bell Dunkz
Stevie Bell is a character. He can go from super mellow to super energetic in a second, and that's what makes him one of the most fun people to be around (especially at the funnest place on earth). Here is a quick minute with Stevie brought to you by Snowboarder Mag
