Good Look

Finally got a chance to see Good Look, and I was rather impressed.
People Creative has clearly filled the shoes left empty by Mack Dawg a few years back. The catchy tunes, big name riders, and high production value make for a very watchable movie.

Lauri Heiskari opens it up with a standout part and probably one of the most stylish double corks I've ever seen.

Joe Sexton has a solid offering, and though it doesn't top his ender part last year, he did work in the streets (including a textbook boardslide through a really steep triple kink).

Aaron Biittner teaches a lesson in style as usual. But he also throws a huge pow slash at two skiers from Snowbird. His street section is solid, and the gap over a fence to a down flat down rail was anything but mellow.

Other standouts were Eero Nemeila, JP Walker, and the ender, Eric Jackson.

EJack destroyed it this year.
He went absolutely huge in the backcountry, got buried on pillow lines, and took some notes from his brother (John Jackson) with 3 double corks-1 that was first try.

Go watch it! It's on iTunes and on DVD

Pure fun, starting with Aaron Biittner pulling a sled and trailer with a segway...
And it's on iTunes now so go buy it.

Keep The Change--Not for Kooks

So Keep the Change dropped last week, and what followed was an extremely positive response from the core side of things (Yobeat, blogs, facebook, etc).
On TWSnow however, the response was different.
Kooks from all over the nation were talking shit on the video and bringing us to question their level of skill and knowledge of snowboarding.

Calling out the some of the best up and comers in the industry takes a serious level of ego or kook, I think most of these comments are coming from the kook side of things.

Ok, Bob. I don't think anybody agrees with you.
At least a few people knew what's up
Go check out the art of flight. sounds like more of your steeze
While I agree that Paxson and Biittner have some of the best style in snowboarding, the guys from KTC are doing some of the hardest tech rail tricks in the game, and they're doing them switch. Johnnie and Aaron are both at a point in their career where they're focusing more on backcountry anyway, leaving room for these guys to make their way up the snowboarding ladder.

The Transworld Snow Online Editor who POSTED THE VIDEO even made an appearance to drop some knowledge.

Luke also mentioned Phil Jacques, who has strikingly similar style to a bunch of these dudes..

Finally, legendary Jerm summed it all up.

And here's a snippet of the POSITIVE response coming from Yobeat.

Another day in Paradise

Snowbasin is killing it right now, 27 inch storm with little to no lift lines and endless terrain.
Rode all day today with good visibility and tons of natural hits, Nick from DC even got a sick backside 270 right into a mess of tree branches and Deadlung shot a tree gap with a head bonk.
Looks like a lot of cars, but most of the people were chilling in the lodge taking a President's day vacation.

You can't really tell from my cell phone pic, but it is most definitely snowing and sunny simultaneously.
