Throwback
Charm City paid good ol' Pennsylvania a visit in early 2009 and i just came across the footage tonight. a beautiful blue bird day at peach followed by an evening at the skatepark. for any of you who are familiar Life Over Death skatepark, aka 'the warehouse' check out the crazy throwback ramps. Be sure to check out www.charmcity.tv as well.... late!
Rail Trip
Went off to a far distant land to make use of the snow that is sticking around for the time being. Some things worked out and some didn't.
1st spot: shoveled half of the stairs before getting the boot. Luckily we didn't go through the work of tearing down this mega booter takeoff
What you see here is not what ended up working. But we did get some other shots at the same spot.
Dan Brisse was here.

Drew holding it down for the East
Our good buddy Drew Yurko decided to head back to the East Coast for this season, it was sad to hear but he's been absolutely killing it over there. He just won the Eastern Snowboard League's final stop at Seven Springs, PA. Check out the vid courtesy of SnowboarderMag

It Takes Time...
It's good to see all my west coast homies having a killer season out there. Judging by my lack of appearance I'd be willing to bet that yinz assumed the east coast fell off the map, that is if you even knew there was an affiliate of the east coast on this site. While Pennsylvania has seen some of the most consistent snow this winter it's also seen some pretty bitter weather. Negative temperatures haven't been uncommon, and single digit temps have been the norm. It's been an overly windy winter to add on top of all of that and, to make a long story short, cabin fever has set in and I'm thoroughly looking forward to skate season... That being said I wanted to post up a skate teaser from good friend Rese McGaughey for his full length "It Takes Time." So while all of you snow bunnies are dreading the end of the season, at least keep those chins up for some good ol' wheelie board action. Late!

Am Throwdown Mega Post
Snowboard Magazine is doing a new contest called the Am Throwdown. One filmer and one rider submit a video and 5 finalists go to Copper mtn, Colorado to film another edit and and possibly win $5000.
I submitted a video, but didn't make top 10. So first, here's my entry, followed by my favorite entries which you can vote on right HERE
My edit. Single day at Park City with Tristan Sadler filming
My favorite edit of the finalists. Sammy Spiteri filmed by our buddy Paul Heran. Sick filming and really sick riding, all of the shots are urban and all of them are from this season unlike most of the other entries. I feel like these two deserve it.
Tyler Lynch kills it in his edit, I'd call it one of the better entries.
Ricky Bates was my coach at Windells before I was hired there. Rad dude and he kills it on the board. Surprised he didn't show a double backie in there, he's gotten really good at them lately.
Never heard of this guy Forrest Burki, but he sends it in powder. Looks like new footage, and check out how big he goes off of a cliff. Gnarly!
Summary of the Contest:

Summary of the Contest:
Looks like most of the entries are just shortened, muted video parts from last season (and one of them is a highlight reel of the last 3 or 4 seasons). There's a lot of variety in the riding, filming, editing, and feel in each edit so make sure you vote for your top 5 who will be sent to Copper for a chance at $5000. The Copper entries will be posted in mid april and it's a similar voting system.

Another day in Paradise
Snowbasin is killing it right now, 27 inch storm with little to no lift lines and endless terrain.
Rode all day today with good visibility and tons of natural hits, Nick from DC even got a sick backside 270 right into a mess of tree branches and Deadlung shot a tree gap with a head bonk.

Looks like a lot of cars, but most of the people were chilling in the lodge taking a President's day vacation.
You can't really tell from my cell phone pic, but it is most definitely snowing and sunny simultaneously.

Freshies!
It dumped at Snowbasin last night, something like 17 inches or so. Parking lot was PACKED, this is the line from about a quarter mile away from the parking lot, and it extends another quarter mile behind me. One of the best days I've had in a while though, so worth it

Help the Homies win
Mini Cooper is puttin on this new video contest. Sounds like a sneaky marketing trick to gain some facebook love, but either way they're giving like $25,000 to snowboarders and I'm totally cool with that. So, if you could do a big favor and VOTE (preferably for our friend Caden Michnal or Eric Beauchemin)
Click the photo to go to Mini Cooper's facebook page, then like it, then vote away and get yourself some good karma

Secret Spot
Yesterday (Superbowl Sunday) Matt E Ryan and myself went to our secret spot here in Ogden and it surprisingly still had plenty of snow to set up this fun line again. And in the midst of filming one run we had a Rottweiler chase us down this here wonderful obstacle course! Here are some photos to check out what exactly it was that we were board jumping on.. stay tuned for the video...

Sage is on a roll
You may have heard of our shred homie Sage Kotsenburg, he kills the dew tour, Xgames, and recently the Air and Style-not to mention he's super fun to cruise around Park City with. Yesterday he landed the first ever cab double cork 1440, and somehow made it look ridiculously stylish. Check the vid

Da Streetz FAIL
Even with everything perfect about the most recent spot we found, it turned out to be pretty horrible. Evan got the rail first try, but we didn't even have a camera out yet. Next, we got a few shots and then the battles for tricks began. Cops show up, tow truck is in the parking lot, owner of the apartments is outside and furious all within what seemed like seconds.
After talking to the cops and the owner nicely for a bit, they cooled down and she (the owner) let the tow truck guys decide what they wanted to do. Normally, they'd tow the cars and make us pay the $75 each, but the man gave us a break and let the cops do their thing. Brief discussion with the cop and he tells us that he had planned on ticketing us all, towing the cars, and getting us for trespassing. But somehow we got away clean, ID's were taken to make sure we aren't felons and we all checked out.
Turned out to be a successful day despite the chaos that could've gone down.

Da Streetz
For the first time in the last couple years, we've finally found an urban rail with a natural drop in. Don't get me wrong, bungees and drop in ramps are fun, but you can't beat a hill conveniently placed by mother nature to get you the speed you need and slide that rail.
Yeah, it's sick
Can't tell by the flat light, but we had to dig out the rail and the stairs. Around 3 feet or so to get to the stairs.

Bare Necessities
This season it seems as if Utah was rerouted to the East Coast seeing that we have had one of the weirdest and dumbest winters I have seen in Utah. It has rained and reached highs near 50 in the month of January which of course has melted all of our wonderful snow in town and has caused us to travel way more to hit urban. However, before the snow melted we decided to have some fun with some tubes and do some sliders in the rain and all we needed was the bare necessities. Oh and Cooper decided to kill some snowmen before they melted away.
One of the best shots ever filmed
I think T Rice surprised himself when he landed. Either way, that season we had an amazing snow year in the Targhee/Jackson area as you can tell from the video.
